Advocacy and Lobbying


Advocacy and Lobbying for Development and Harmonization of Policies, Legislations and Regulations on conservation of flora and fauna by National & County Governments & Other state Agencies. This will be achieved through deliberate and focused engagement initiatives through CAK Members, Community Engagement and Other Sector Key players at national and regional levels.
To influence conservation agenda, CAK will continue hosting CAK (thematic based) Conventions for members, sector key players and other key stakeholders, and participate in Regional & International conventions, workgroups and caucuses to influence policy at regional and international levels.
Activities
– Review of policies, laws & regulations (senate, national assembly, and county assemblies)
– Multilateral environmental agreements & treaties
– Budget process (national and county governments)
– Environment and natural resources crime (judiciary, prosecutors & law enforcement agencies
– Indigenous People and Local communities
– youth & gender mainstreaming
– Country position & policy briefs
