Lucy Waruingi – Board Chair
Lucy Waruingi has worked in the conservation sector for over 25 years. She is the Executive Director of the African Conservation Centre and holds a Master of Science in Geographic Information Systems & spatial statistics from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK).
Lucy has long been interested in managing and interpreting biological and environmental data for decision-making and informing initiatives that enhance local livelihoods in rich biodiversity areas. She is part of a regional effort in East Africa to develop frameworks for mobilizing biodiversity information for the sustainable management of natural resources. Lucy has experience in collaboration at local, national, and international levels and desires to achieve a meaningful impact for our environment in Africa through self-growth and “paying it forward” to others.
